dracera-10-light-pendant-black
Dracera 10 Light Pendant - Black

Description

The Dracera is a ten light pendant built as a cascade. Ten slim black drops hang from a round black steel ceiling canopy, and each carries a curved, leaf-shaped steel shade above a small black dome that holds the light. The shades are finished in black and gold, and because the leaves sit at different angles you catch both colours at once rather than a single block of finish. It stands 150cm tall overall and is 58cm in diameter. The light source is integrated LED, ten lights at 2.3W each, and the IP20 rating settles where it goes: indoors, in a dry room.

With its drops hanging at staggered heights, the Dracera is one we would hang where there is ceiling height to spare: a stairwell, a double-height hallway or a generous dining room, where the lowest leaves can sit above the table. Each light gives 280 lumens at 3000K, a warm light that sits comfortably in living and dining spaces through the evening. When lit, the gold faces of the leaves take on a soft glow, so the pendant still looks considered after dark. It gives anyone planning a hall or stairwell a centrepiece that fills the height rather than a lone bulb lost in the space.

The body and the shades are steel, with the canopy and drops in black. Because the LEDs are integrated, there are no bulbs to buy or change. They are also dimmable, so you can run the light bright for a dinner and soften it for a quiet evening. There is no switch on the fitting itself; it is switched at the wall. It runs on 220-240V mains and, as a wired-in ceiling light, should be installed by a qualified electrician. The installation instructions come as a download, and packed, it weighs 9KG.

Specification

Overall Height

150cm

Diameter

58cm

Body Material

Steel

Body Colour

Black

Shade Material

Steel

Shade Colour

Black, gold

Light Source

LED, integrated

Wattage

10 x 2.3W

Lumens

280lm per light (10 lights)

Colour Temperature

3000K

Dimmable

Yes

Switch

None (switched at the wall)

IP Rating

IP20

Protection Class

Class II

Voltage

220-240V, 50/60Hz

Energy Class

E

Weight (packed)

9KG

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

Can the Dracera go in a bathroom or outdoors?

No. The Dracera is rated IP20, so it belongs in dry indoor rooms only and should not go in a bathroom or outdoors.

Is the Dracera dimmable?

Yes, the integrated LEDs are dimmable, so you can soften the light for evenings.
