A ring of slotted vents circles the gallery where the shade meets the stem, and the open dome sends the light of its single bulb down into the room. It is made of brass and glass, and it measures 21cm tall and 30cm across, compact enough for a low ceiling. It comes in seven finishes, Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Natural Brass, Matt Black, White, Polished Brass and Satin Brass, and in each of them you choose Clear or Opal glass.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIts IP65 rating means it suits a bathroom, and it works just as well in a hallway, where a light that sits tight to the ceiling keeps the headroom clear. The brass finishes, from the bright Polished Brass to the darker Antique Brass, sit happily in a period house or a plainer modern one, and Antique Silver gives the same shape a cooler tone.
