Above the shade hangs a 10cm lamp housing in matt white, and the canopy on the ceiling is 14cm across. Its integrated LED draws 25W and gives 2224lm of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, so colours look true, and there is never a bulb to buy or change.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWe think it belongs over a dining table, where the broad skirt gives the table a clear centre and the warm light falls on the meal and the people around it. It is equally at home in a living room, hung over a low table or a reading corner, and two side by side over a long table look generous rather than crowded. It is TRIAC dimmable and works with a compatible dimmer, so you can lower the light for a long supper and raise it again for a board game or the newspaper.
