dernessa-fabric-pendant-light-53cm-satin-nickel
Dernessa Fabric Pendant Light 53cm - Satin Nickel

Description

The Dernessa is a fabric pendant light with a white drum shade 53cm in diameter, hung on a slim cord from a small round ceiling canopy. The canopy and the short rod that meets the top of the shade are steel in a satin nickel finish, which gives the metalwork a soft sheen rather than a bright mirror shine. Its overall height is 110cm. It takes one E27 bulb of up to 60W, and as the bulb is not included, you choose the warmth and brightness that suit the room. The IP20 rating settles where it belongs: indoors in dry rooms, so it is not for bathrooms or outdoor use.

With a 53cm diameter, this is a generous shade, wide enough to hang centrally over a dining table or to serve as the main light in a living room or bedroom. The fabric drum softens the bulb into an even, gentle glow, so the light falls kindly on faces around the table rather than glaring. White sits happily with pale painted walls, warm timber and stone alike, and satin nickel keeps the metalwork quiet and modern. If you are replacing a bare bulb or a dated ceiling fitting, it gives a room a proper centre light without fuss.

There is no switch on the light itself: it is switched at the wall, so your existing light switch controls it. As a wired mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions are available as a download. It runs on a 220-240V, 50/60Hz supply, and it weighs 1.902KG packed. When you order, pick up an E27 bulb of 60W or less as well, so the light is ready to use on the day it is fitted.

Specification

Overall Height

110cm

Diameter

53cm

Body Material

Steel

Body Colour

Satin nickel

Shade Material

Fabric

Shade Colour

White

Light Source

E27 (bulb not included)

Wattage

Max 60W

Switch

None (switched at the wall)

IP Rating

IP20

Protection Class

Class I

Voltage

220-240V, 50/60Hz

Weight (packed)

1.902KG

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

Is a bulb included with the Dernessa pendant?

No, the bulb is not included.
