denaya-ribbed-glass-outdoor-wall-light-antique-brass
Denaya Ribbed Glass Outdoor Wall Light - Antique Brass

Description

An outdoor wall light 20cm tall and 12cm wide, standing 10cm off the wall. The back plate is an oval of solid brass with a small round boss at the top, at the bottom and on each side. A solid brass cowl covers the upper two thirds of the opening and a ribbed clear glass lens fills the rest. The brass carries a dark mottled patina over a warmer tone beneath it.

At 20cm this is a small fitting and it goes beside a door, along a passage wall or above a step. The cowl covers the top of the lens, so the light falls on the ground in front of it rather than into the eye of anyone walking towards it. It is rated IP44 and is made for outdoor use. Lit on a plain exterior wall, the glow reads warm through the ribs and the cowl catches a lighter highlight above.

The body is solid brass and the lens is glass. Every piece of brass is hand forged in small batches, down to the nuts and bolts, and the brass will oxidise in the weather and change over time. The glass is made from waste glass that is collected and washed to remove impurities, then crushed and melted down before it is blown or placed in moulds.

Specification

Height

20cm

Width

12cm

Projection

10cm

Material

Brass & Glass

Finish

Antique Brass

IP Rating

IP44

Bulb Fitting

E14

Max Wattage

20W

Suitable for Outdoor Use

Yes

Weight

1kg

Frequently Asked

Is it made for outdoors?

Yes.
