deco-crystal-ceiling-light-chrome
Deco Crystal Semi-Flush Ceiling Light

Description

Our Deco crystal ceiling light is built around a clear, faceted shade of crystal and glass, cut into rows of pointed facets that catch the light from within. It takes one G9 bulb, which is not included, so you can pick the bulb you like before it goes up. The iron structure comes in two finishes, chrome or matt gold, and you choose which one you want. It is 26cm tall and 28cm across, a compact size that still brings plenty of sparkle to a ceiling.

The fitting sits semi-flush on a short stem, so it keeps close to the ceiling and suits rooms where a hanging pendant would feel too low: a hallway, a landing, a bedroom, a dining room or a living room with a modest ceiling. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. The maker states it is for indoor use only. The cut crystal look sits happily in a period home with cornicing and panelled doors, yet its rounded bowl outline is simple enough for a plainer modern room.

The design is by Cristian Cubiñá. The structure is iron, finished in chrome or matt gold according to the version you choose, and the clear, faceted shade is made from crystal and glass. It is a mains fitting, so it is for a qualified electrician to install. For styling, pick the chrome version where a room already has polished steel, nickel or mirrored glass, and the matt gold version where brass, warm timber or deep painted walls set the tone. Either way, a clear G9 bulb rather than a frosted one keeps the facets bright and crisp, and a pair fitted along a long hallway gives an even run of sparkle from end to end.

Specification

Colour

Chrome & Gold

Finish

Chrome & Matt Gold

Height

26cm

Diameter

28cm

Light Source

1 x G9 (lamps not included)

IP Rating

IP20

Protection Class

Class II

Downloads

Assembly Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

What bulb does the Deco ceiling light take?

It takes one G9 bulb.
