deana-stoneware-mugs-380ml-set-of-4-multi
Deana Stoneware Mugs 380ml Set of 4 - Multi

Description

These are four stoneware mugs, each holding 380ml, sold together as a set of 4. A multicoloured glaze runs around each body in broad horizontal bands and settles into a drip towards the base, while fine ridges circle the outside so the surface catches the light. Each mug stands 9cm tall and measures 8.5cm across, with a gently rounded belly and a loop handle that takes a couple of fingers comfortably. At 380ml this is a proper mug size: enough for a full cup of tea with milk, a large coffee or a hot chocolate. The four are not identical, as the bands fall a little differently on each, and that variation is part of their charm.

We think they suit the kitchen and the breakfast table most of all, for the first tea of the morning or a long coffee at the desk. A set of 4 covers a household of four, or means there are enough mugs ready when friends come round at the weekend. The banded glaze sits comfortably with wooden shelves, linen and plain white crockery, and the mugs look as good lined up on an open dresser as they do in daily use. As a gift they suit anyone who likes a hot drink in something with a little body and texture.

Stoneware is a dense ceramic that holds heat well, which is why it makes such a good mug. The maker states that these go in the dishwasher, the microwave and the oven, so reheating a forgotten coffee and clearing up after breakfast need no special handling. The glaze covers the inside as well as the outside, giving each mug a smooth, glossy interior. For a relaxed table, set them out with plain stoneware plates, or hang them by their handles from hooks under a kitchen shelf so the banded glaze stays on show between cups.

Specification

Height

9cm

Diameter

8.5cm

Sold as

Set of 4

Material

100% Stoneware

Colour

Multi

Capacity

380ml

Dishwasher safe

Yes

Microwave safe

Yes

Oven safe

Yes

Food safe

Yes

Weight

1.16KG

Frequently Asked

How much does each mug hold?

Each mug holds 380ml, a generous size for a full cup of tea with milk, a large coffee or a hot chocolate.

Can these mugs go in the dishwasher and the microwave?

Yes.
