Between them are four square openings where the wall itself shows through. The panels are fixed to a matt black sprayed support. The design is by Annemie Vanzieleghem.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe openings mean the wall colour behind it becomes part of the piece, so a dark wall reads very differently from a pale one and it is worth deciding the position with that in mind. It hangs in all four directions, and because the composition is a grid rather than a picture, turning it is a real choice rather than a correction. More than one can be hung together, above or beside each other, to extend the pattern. At 13kg and 4cm deep it is a one person lift, with two screws, washers and plugs supplied and nothing to assemble. Clean each panel with cleaner sprayed onto a soft cloth, working within the panel rather than across the joins, and dust the openings out with a dry brush. Each panel measures 24.6cm by 39.5cm, so the grid reads at a consistent scale however it is turned.
