cravessa-glass-pendant-light-32-5cm-black
Cravessa Glass Pendant Light 32.5cm - Black

Description

The Cravessa is a glass pendant light built around a teardrop cage of fine black steel wires, with a white glass cylinder held inside it. The cage tapers to a slim neck at the top and swells into a rounded base, and it hangs on a black cord from a matching ceiling rose. It is 32.5cm across and 110cm tall overall. It takes one E27 bulb of up to 40W, which is not included, so the bulb and the warmth of its light are your choice. Its IP20 rating settles where it belongs: indoors, in a dry room.

It earns its place over a dining table, where the open black cage gives the room a strong outline and the white glass inside softens the bulb so nobody squints across their supper. It works just as well over a kitchen island or in a living room or hallway with a generous ceiling height, since at 110cm overall it needs room to hang. The black and white pairing sits happily with pale walls, warm wood and natural woven textures, and suits anyone who wants one striking light in place of several small ones.

The body is black steel, and the shade pairs a cage of the same black steel with an inner cylinder of white glass. There is no switch on the light itself; it is switched at the wall. It runs from 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains, and because it is wired in, a qualified electrician installs it; the installation instructions come as a download. Packed, it weighs 3.127KG, worth knowing when you plan the lift. Have an E27 bulb of 40W or less ready beforehand, and the light is working the moment it is hung.

Specification

Overall Height

110cm

Diameter

32.5cm

Body Material

Steel

Body Colour

Black

Shade Material

Steel, glass

Shade Colour

Black, white

Light Source

E27 (bulb not included)

Wattage

Max 40W

Switch

None (switched at the wall)

IP Rating

IP20

Protection Class

Class II

Voltage

220-240V, 50/60Hz

Weight (packed)

3.127KG

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

Can the Cravessa pendant go in a bathroom?

No. Its IP20 rating means it is made for dry rooms indoors, so keep it away from bathrooms and anywhere damp or steamy.

Which bulb does it take?

It takes one E27 bulb of up to 40W.
