corbena-rattan-pendant-light-50cm-black
Corbena Rattan Pendant Light 50cm - Black

Description

The Corbena is a ceiling pendant built around a domed cage of black steel wire, with a deep band of natural woven rattan wrapped around its middle. It measures 50cm across and 110cm tall overall, and it hangs on a slim black cord from a round black ceiling canopy. It takes a single E27 bulb up to 40W, which is not included, so you choose the light it gives. With an IP20 rating it belongs indoors in dry rooms, away from bathrooms and outdoor spaces.

At 50cm across it has the presence to hang over a dining table, a kitchen island or the centre of a living room, and it suits a bedroom or a hallway with a good ceiling height. The mix of black metal and warm natural rattan sits comfortably with wooden furniture, cane pieces, plants and earthy colours, giving a modern room some texture without feeling heavy. Because the cage carries on below the woven band as an open ring of black bars, the lower edge stays light and open, and the lamp holder sits at the centre where you can see it, so the bulb you choose becomes part of the look. It is a good choice for anyone who wants natural texture overhead without a dense, solid shade.

The frame is steel finished in black, matching the cord and canopy, while the shade is natural rattan woven between the vertical wires of the cage. Rattan is a natural material, so slight variations in its tone are part of its character. There is no switch on the light itself: it is switched at the wall, and as a light wired into the ceiling it is installed by a qualified electrician. The installation instructions come as a download, and the light weighs 2.389KG packed. Pick your E27 bulb up to 40W before fitting day, as one is not supplied.

Specification

Overall Height

110cm

Diameter

50cm

Body Material

Steel

Body Colour

Black

Shade Material

Rattan

Shade Colour

Natural

Light Source

E27 (bulb not included)

Wattage

Max 40W

Switch

None (switched at the wall)

IP Rating

IP20

Protection Class

Class II

Voltage

220-240V, 50/60Hz

Weight (packed)

2.389KG

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

Can the Corbena pendant go in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, so it belongs indoors in dry rooms only, such as a living room, dining room or bedroom, and away from bathrooms and other wet places.

Which bulb does it take?

It takes one E27 bulb up to a maximum of 40W.
