A slim vertical black stem rising from a flat round black disc base, with five lamps set off it on short black arms at different heights and pointing different ways, so the cluster spirals round the stem rather than sitting in a ring. Each arm ends in a black holder carrying a large smoked globe, and the filaments inside show as warm bright ladders through the grey glass. The stem is a plain matt black line and is the only structure there is. Nothing is shaded and the lamps are the whole of the ornament.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt stands beside a chair or at the end of a sofa, where it puts one pool of light exactly where it is needed without lighting the whole space.
