clarmena-solar-spike-light-76cm-black
Clarmena Solar Spike Light 76cm - Black

Description

Our solar spike light sets a round, crescent-moon head on a slim black stake, the open face of the moon lined in amber and cut with the silhouette of a seated fairy reaching towards a small hanging star. The body is zinc-plated steel in a black finish, brushed through with a soft grey sheen across the rim, and the shade is amber plastic, so the integrated LED gives a warm orange glow rather than a cold white one. It stands 76cm high, 16cm long and 11cm wide, and at 0.28KG it is light enough to lift and move with one hand.

It suits anyone who likes a little folklore about the place, and it makes a charming gift for a child who still believes in fairies. Because the solar panel sits on the stake itself, there is no plug and no socket needed: the panel charges from daylight, and as general guidance it does best in an open, sunny spot where nothing shades it through the day. The two-pronged spike at its foot holds it upright, and the slim stake raises the moon head well clear of anything low around it, so the fairy and her star read clearly whenever the light is glowing.

Zinc plating helps steel resist rust, and here it sits beneath the black finish of the body. The integrated LED runs from one AA NiMH battery of 300mAh at an operating voltage of 1.2V, and an on/off switch lets you rest the light whenever it is not wanted. Inside the moon, the star hangs from a short chain of links with a small spiral beneath it, a detail that catches the amber glow. The installation instructions come as a download, worth a quick read before you choose a spot and place the light.

Specification

Body Material

Zinc-plated steel

Body Colour

Black

Shade Material

Plastic

Shade Colour

Amber

Light Source

LED, integrated

Length

16cm

Width

11cm

Height

76cm

Weight

0.28KG

Battery Count

1

Operating Voltage

1.2V

Switch

On/off switch

Battery

AA, NiMH, 300mAh

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

How tall is the solar spike light?

It stands 76cm high, 16cm long and 11cm wide, with the moon head carried on a slim black stake and a two-pronged spike at the foot.

What battery does it use?

It takes one AA NiMH battery of 300mAh, and the integrated LED works at an operating voltage of 1.2V.

How does the solar panel charge?

The panel on the stake charges from daylight, and as general guidance it does best in an open, sunny spot with nothing shading it.

Does it have a switch?

Yes, it has an on/off switch, so you can rest the light whenever you do not want it glowing.

What material is the body?

The body is zinc-plated steel in black, and the shade that gives the moon its warm colour is amber plastic.

How heavy is it?

It weighs 0.28KG, so it is easy to lift, move and reposition whenever you want the fairy somewhere new.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0729/8993/3835/files/clarmena-solar-spike-light-76cm-black.jpg?v=1793766300
