cikkeline-striped-seagrass-baskets-with-lids-set-of-2-multi
Cikkeline Striped Seagrass Baskets with Lids Set of 2 - Multi

Description

This is a set of two storage baskets in braided seagrass, each with its own lid and striped in multicoloured bands from base to peak. The lids rise to a point like the top of a circus tent, with a scalloped trim around the edge and a small woven loop at the top for lifting. The larger basket is 37cm across and 50cm tall and the smaller one is 32cm across and 43cm tall, so you get two useful sizes rather than an identical pair. Both are round, with bodies that curve in slightly towards the base.

These are made as children's storage, and they suit a nursery, playroom or child's bedroom, where the larger basket takes soft toys, a folded blanket or dressing-up clothes and the smaller one gathers building bricks, books and odds and ends. With both lids in place, the mess is out of sight and the baskets look like part of the room's decoration rather than a hiding place for toys. They work just as well around the rest of the house: beside a sofa for throws, in a hallway for hats and scarves, or at the end of a bed for spare cushions.

The baskets are made of seagrass and iron, with a braided seagrass finish that gives the weave a chunky, rope-like texture. Seagrass is a dried grass fibre, so it has a slightly rustic, uneven look that suits relaxed, homely rooms. The lids lift clean off rather than being hinged, which makes the baskets quick to fill and empty. The weight given is 3KG, so moving them from room to room is easy. For styling, stand the pair together in the corner of a room with the taller one at the back, or give one to each of two children; the multicoloured stripes sit happily against plain walls and pale wooden floors.

Specification

Basket 1

Height 50cm, Diameter 37cm

Basket 2

Height 43cm, Diameter 32cm

Sold as

Set of 2

Material

Seagrass, Iron

Colour

Multi

Finish

Braided seagrass

Weight

3KG

Frequently Asked

Which materials are used in the baskets?

The baskets are braided seagrass with iron, and each lid is woven in the same striped seagrass as its basket.

How big are the two baskets?

The larger basket is 37cm across and 50cm tall, and the smaller basket is 32cm across and 43cm tall.

Do both baskets come with lids?

Yes.
