chrysanthemum-artificial-stem-72cm-pink
Chrysanthemum Artificial Stem 72cm - Pink

Description

This is a single artificial chrysanthemum stem, 72cm tall and 20cm across, with sprays of small pink flowers gathered along its upper part and a long, bare stem beneath them. Each flower opens into slim, pointed petals around a tuft of fine stamens, and a few leaves sit between the clusters. The stem is 80% polyester, 10% iron and 10% polyethylene, and the whole piece weighs only 0.05KG, so a slender vase holds it as readily as a wide one.

At 72cm it has the height for a tall vase on a sideboard, a mantelpiece or a hallway console, where the bare stem shows through clear glass and the flowers rise well above the rim. One stem alone gives a sparse, airy look on a desk or a bedside table. Several together, or one added to an arrangement of dried flowers, bring a soft touch of pink to a room. Because it is artificial, it suits places where cut flowers fade quickly, such as a dim landing or a guest room in occasional use, and its flowers stay open through every season.

The maker's care note asks that it be handled gently, because the leaves and flowerheads can break, and that the stem be trimmed and its parts folded into place before use. So once it is out of its packaging, cut it to suit your vase and open out each spray of flowers and each leaf by hand until the stem looks natural. For the most lifelike result, we like the sprays leaning a little to one side rather than standing upright, in a plain vase of clear glass or matt stoneware, so the pink flowers carry all the colour in the arrangement.

Specification

Height

72cm

Diameter

20cm

Material

80% Polyester, 10% Iron, 10% Polyethylene

Colour

Pink

Care

Handle with care to avoid breakage of the leaves/flowerheads.
