christmas-stacking-farm-animals-cow-pig-and-sheep-figurine-22cm
Christmas Stacking Farm Animals, Cow, Pig & Sheep Figurine 22cm

Description

This Christmas stacking figurine piles four farmyard favourites on top of one another: a black and white cow at the base, a pink pig standing on its back, a white sheep above it and a little cockerel perched at the top. Each animal is dressed for the season. The cow wears a crown of red poinsettias and green leaves between its ears, while the pig and the sheep each wear a poinsettia garland around the neck. The coats have a textured look, and the colours are mostly white, with the cow's bold black patches, the pig's pink and those red flowers. It stands 33cm tall, 22cm across and 7.8cm deep, slim enough for a narrow ledge yet tall enough to catch the eye.

We think it looks its best on a mantelpiece, where the height of the stack sits among greenery and Christmas cards, but it is equally at home on a windowsill, a bookshelf, a hall table or a kitchen dresser. At 7.8cm deep it needs little room front to back, so it suits shallow shelves and slim alcoves. The countryside theme brings a homely, rustic note to festive decorating, and it fits a farmhouse-style kitchen or a cosy sitting room. As a Christmas gift it is cheerful and easy to place, a piece to bring out year after year when the decorations go up.

The figurine stands on the cow's four hooves, so it needs no stand or hook, and the animals are finished in painted detail, from the cow's pink nose to the cockerel's dark tail feathers. To keep it looking fresh, dust it with a soft dry cloth and store it somewhere dry once the season is over. For a simple festive scene, set it at one end of the mantelpiece with a sprig of fir or a few pine cones beside it, and let the animals do the talking.

Specification

Colour

Multicoloured

Height

33cm

Width

22cm

Depth

7.8cm

Weight

0.891kg

Occasion

Christmas

Frequently Asked

How big is the stacking farm animals figurine?

It stands 33cm tall, measures 22cm across and is 7.8cm deep, so it fits comfortably on a mantelpiece, windowsill or shelf.

Which animals are in the stack?

From the bottom up there is a black and white cow, a pink pig, a white sheep and a small cockerel perched on the sheep's back.

How is it decorated for Christmas?

The cow wears a crown of red poinsettias with green leaves, and the pig and the sheep each wear a poinsettia garland around the neck.

Does it need a stand or a wall fixing?

No. It stands on the cow's four hooves, so you simply set it on a flat surface such as a mantelpiece, shelf or sideboard.

How should I look after it?

Dust it with a soft dry cloth now and then, and store it somewhere dry between Christmases so it is ready for the next year.

Would it make a good Christmas gift?

Yes.
