christmas-spirit-abstract-velvet-cushion-multicolour
Christmas Spirit Abstract Velvet Cushion - Multicolour

Description

This is the Christmas Spirit cushion, a 30 x 50cm bolster printed with a festive town scene on a soft snow-flecked ground. Look closely and there is plenty to find: a chocolate box row of shopfronts, decorated trees, a little car with a tree strapped to its roof and windows lit warm yellow against the winter sky. The front is printed velvet; the reverse is a plain velvet in a deep Santa Claus red, finished with a piped trim that runs the whole way round the edge. It is made from 100% polyester.

The long, low bolster shape suits a sofa or an armchair better than a square cushion does, sitting comfortably across the small of your back or propped at one end of a settee. At 30 x 50cm it works as the front layer in a group, with plainer cushions stacked behind it, and the red piped edge picks up naturally against a green or cream sofa. It is a seasonal piece, brought out for the festive weeks and put away again, so it earns its place by being the one thing in the room that rewards a second look.

Polyester velvet is chosen here for a reason: it holds a printed design crisply, keeps its soft hand after handling, and stands up to being moved about a busy room through December. The cover closes with a hidden zip, so the pad slips in and out without breaking the line of the piping. The Christmas Spirit range runs beyond the cushion, with a duvet cover set, a door stop and a draught excluder printed in the same town scene, should you want to carry the look further through the house.

Specification

Material

100% polyester

Design

Printed festive town scene, abstract

Construction

Printed velvet front, plain velvet reverse, piped trim, hidden zip

Size

30 x 50cm

Frequently Asked

What is the cushion made from?

It is made from 100% polyester, with a printed velvet front and a plain velvet reverse in Santa Claus red, so the whole cover is soft to the touch.

How is the cover fastened?

The cover closes with a hidden zip along one edge, which keeps the piped trim unbroken and lets you take the pad out easily.

What size is this cushion?

It measures 30 x 50cm, a long bolster shape rather than a square, which suits sitting across the back of a sofa or an armchair.

Is the design on both sides?

No. The printed town scene is on the front only, and the reverse is a plain deep red velvet with a piped edge running around it.

Does it come with a pad or just the cover?

Please check the listing for what is included, as cushions are sometimes sold as a cover and sometimes complete with a filled pad.

Can I use it as part of a group of cushions?

Yes, the bolster shape works well as the front layer with plainer square cushions stacked behind it on a sofa.
