cheetah-forest-animal-velvet-cushion-gold
Cheetah Forest Animal Velvet Cushion - Gold

Description

This is a velvet cushion built around one image: a single cheetah, standing in profile against a dense botanical background of overlapping palm fronds. The face is printed with real detail, the coat spotted and tawny, and it sits on a warm gold ground that runs through the whole front panel. The cover is made from 100% polyester velvet, which gives it a soft, short pile with a faint sheen that shifts as the light moves across it. At 30 x 50cm it is a lumbar shape rather than a square, so it reads as a landscape panel and gives the animal room to sit lengthways across the front.

A cushion this size does its best work as an accent rather than as one of a matched pair. Set it against plainer cushions on a sofa or an armchair, or lay it across the head of a bed where the lumbar shape supports the small of the back when you sit up to read. The gold and green palette sits comfortably with earthy neutrals, deep greens and other warm brown tones, and the tropical print makes it a natural fit for a room that already leans towards botanical or animal motifs. It suits a lounge or a bedroom equally.

The construction is worth a look. The printed front is finished with a coordinating piped edge that runs right around the seam, giving the cushion a crisp, defined outline, and the reverse is a plain solid velvet in the same gold so it looks finished from either side. A hidden zip closure keeps the fastening out of sight and lets you take the cover off. Polyester velvet is hard-wearing and holds its colour well, which is what you want from a printed accent that will be handled often. If you like this piece, it belongs to our wider Cheetah Forest range of velvet cushions.

Specification

Material

100% polyester velvet

Design

Printed cheetah on botanical ground, plain reverse

Construction

Piped edge, solid velvet reverse, hidden zip closure

Size

30 x 50cm

Frequently Asked

What is the cover made from?

The cover is 100% polyester velvet, which gives a soft short pile with a light sheen and holds printed colour well over time.

What size is this cushion?

It measures 30 x 50cm, a lumbar rectangle rather than a square, so it reads as a landscape panel across a sofa or bed.

Is the pattern on both sides?

No. The printed cheetah and botanical ground are on the front only, and the reverse is a plain solid gold velvet.

Does the cover come off?

Yes.
