checkered-check-velvet-cushion-chocolate
Checkered Check Velvet Cushion - Chocolate

Description

This is a 45 x 45cm square cushion in a cut velvet check, worked in warm chocolate and gold across a fine grid of raised squares. The pile catches the light differently as you move around it, so the pattern shifts between a soft caramel and a deeper rust-brown depending on where you stand. The velvet is a polyester and viscose blend, which is what gives the surface its plush, slightly reflective texture while keeping the price sensible. It is a busy, textural piece rather than a plain accent, and the check reads clearly from across a room.

A 45cm square is the standard cushion size, so it sits comfortably on a sofa, an armchair or the end of a bed and pairs easily with cushions you already own. The colouring here is warm and earthy, which means it works alongside tan leather, dark wood and neutral upholstery, and it holds its own against a plain sofa that needs a bit of texture. Group two or three together for depth, or use a single one to break up a run of flat cushions. It suits a living room that leans cosy and lived-in rather than crisp and minimal.

The cover is finished with a zip closure, so it comes off cleanly for cleaning and goes back on without a struggle. The velvet blend is durable enough for everyday use and stands up to daily leaning and lounging. Viscose in the blend gives the pile its soft handle and its sheen, while the polyester adds resilience so the surface keeps its shape with regular use. It arrives as a cover; take the size of your existing insert into account when you order, as a 45cm insert gives the fullest finish.

Specification

Material

60% viscose, 40% polyester velvet

Design

Checkered cut velvet, modern

Construction

Zip closure

Size

45 x 45cm

Sold as

Cover

Frequently Asked

What is the cushion made from?

The cover is a cut velvet in a blend of 60% viscose and 40% polyester, which gives it a soft, slightly reflective pile with everyday durability.

How big is the cushion?

It measures 45 x 45cm, the standard square cushion size, so it fits most sofas, armchairs and beds and works with inserts you may already have.

Does the cover come off for cleaning?

Yes, there is a zip closure along one edge, so the cover slides off cleanly for cleaning and goes back on easily afterwards.

Is the insert included?

This is sold as a cover, so plan to use a 45cm insert.
