A brass swan neck rises from a round wall plate, bends over and drops to the shade. The plate fixes on two visible bolts. The wood carries strong grain and the edge of the dome is not quite even. It is 28cm tall, 25cm wide, and projects 35cm from the wall.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe cage leaves the bulb open, so light goes out sideways and down as well as being thrown back off the wood above it. It is a fitting to put where it will be looked at rather than hidden: over a sofa, beside an armchair, above a bed.
