A flat square panel frames a smooth, rounded dome that rises from its centre, and that simple pairing of straight edges and a soft curve is what gives the piece its character. It measures 31cm long, 11cm wide and 31cm tall, and at 2.3KG it carries the solid weight of stoneware.

Because the dome curves outward, it catches light from windows and lamps and returns a softened, curved reflection of the room, bringing a little brightness to a hallway, a landing or a dim corner of a living room. At 31cm square it is a sensible size for a narrow stretch of wall beside a door, above a console table or over a bedside table, and it holds its own beside flat frames on a gallery wall. It suits anyone who likes clean geometry and a touch of shine without the scale of a full mirror, and it makes a thoughtful housewarming gift for someone furnishing a new home.

On the back, two metal brackets with keyhole slots sit near the top of the dome's opening, so the flat panel hangs neatly on a pair of screws or hooks. Electroplating lays a fine metallic coat over a surface, and here it covers the stoneware across the panel and the dome alike, which gives the silver its glassy shine. Stoneware itself is a dense, hard-fired ceramic, which is why the piece feels so substantial when you lift it. For styling, hang it at eye level where daylight reaches it, and set it among matt textures such as linen, raw wood or a plastered wall, so its shine reads as a quiet contrast.

Specification

Width

11cm

Length

31cm

Height

31cm

Material

100% Stoneware

Colour

Silver

Finish

Electroplated

Weight

2.3KG

Frequently Asked

What is the wall decor made of?

It is made of 100% stoneware, a dense, hard-fired ceramic, with an electroplated silver finish over the square panel and the rounded central dome.

How big is it?

It measures 31cm long, 11cm wide and 31cm tall, so the front is a 31cm square, and the piece weighs 2.3KG.

How does it hang on the wall?

Two metal brackets with keyhole slots are fixed to the back near the top, so the piece hangs on a pair of screws or hooks set in the wall.

Is it heavy?

It weighs 2.3KG, the honest weight of a solid stoneware piece of this size, so it has a reassuring heft when you lift it.

Where does it look best?

It looks best where light reaches it, such as a hallway, landing or living room wall, because the curved silver dome catches the light and returns a soft reflection of the room.
