Because the glass is clear, the lamp you choose stays on show, so a decorative filament LED earns its place. It takes a single E27 lamp of up to 20W, and GLS, golf ball, globe, tubular and squirrel cage shapes all suit the proportions. A toggle switch on the fitting itself means you can work it without crossing the room.

We would use a pair either side of a bed, where the narrow body keeps clear of a headboard, or a single one in a hallway above a console table. It is one we reach for when a pendant would hang too low over a bedside table, and it suits reading corners, alcoves and the wall beside a dressing mirror. Dimming is possible where you pair a dimmable lamp with a compatible dimmer, though neither of those comes with it. It is intended for dry rooms indoors, so bedrooms, landings and sitting rooms rather than bathrooms or anywhere outdoors.

Glass and metal throughout, with the chrome polished to a bright mirror finish that picks up whatever daylight the room gets. Keep a lint free cloth for the glass, since clear glass shows dust and fingerprints sooner than opal does, and give the chrome a dry buff at the same time, with the power off and the lamp cold. It carries a one year warranty. The same wine glass shade runs through the range as a flush fitting, in finishes from matt black and antique brass to satin nickel, if you want the walls and the ceiling to read as a set. Lamps are not included.

Specification

Colour

Polished Chrome

Second Colour

Black

Weight

0.94KG

Width

150mm

Height

305mm

Projection

220mm

Materials Used

Iron, Glass

Energy Class

A++ to A

Max Energy Class

A++

Min Energy Class

D

Lamp

1 x E27 20W max (lamps not included)

Lamp Cap

E27

Recommended Lamp

LED (GLS A60, Golf Ball, Globe G80, ST64, Tubular T45)

Light Distribution

Ambient

Protection Class

Class 1 - Earth Connection Required

Total Power Consumption

Dependent On Lamps Used (±5%)

Input Voltage

220-240V~50/60Hz

Switch

Yes - Toggle Switch

Dimmable

Yes - Suitable Lamps & Dimmer Required

Dimmer Included

No

IP Rating

IP20

Warranty

1yr

UKCA/CE

Yes

Shade Colour

Clear

Plate Dimensions

D:100mm x H:25mm

Bracket Dimensions

L:90mm x W:20mm x H: 5mm

Shade Shape

Wine Glass

Shade Included

Yes

Pieces Included

1

Unassembled

Yes

Installation

Requires Installation By Qualified Electrician

Product Care

(1) Wipe clean with a dry cloth, do not use any cleaning detergents, do not use rough or coarse material to clean.
