carousel-horse-silverplated-metal-money-box-silver-and-pink
Carousel Horse Silverplated Metal Money Box - Silver & Pink

Description

This carousel money box brings a little fairground charm to a baby's nursery, with prancing horses raised in relief around a shiny silverplated body. The roof rises to a round silver finial and is panelled in soft pink and pale cream, with a pink band edging the roof and another around the base. Beneath the roof runs a scalloped canopy trim, and twisted poles divide the horses as they would on a real carousel, each saddle picked out with a small pink sparkle. It stands 12.5cm tall, 9cm wide and 9cm deep, a neat size for a shelf or a chest of drawers.

We think it makes a thoughtful christening gift, or a lovely present for mum and dad as they welcome a baby home. It sits happily in the nursery on a windowsill, bookcase or dresser, where the silver catches the light and the pink adds a gentle touch of colour. As the years go by it becomes a keepsake of those early days, and a place for grandparents, godparents and visitors to drop in a coin or two towards the little one's future.

The body is metal with a shiny silver plating, and the coin slot sits in the roof, ready for the very first pennies. It is a keepsake for display and saving rather than a toy, so a high shelf suits it best. To keep the plating bright, dust it with a soft dry cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh polishes, which can wear a plated finish. For a christening, we like to set it beside a card bearing the baby's name and the date, so it tells the story of the day for years to come.

Specification

Material

Metal

Colour

Silver & Pink

Finish

Shiny

Height

12.5cm

Width

9cm

Depth

9cm

Weight

0.376kg

Occasion

New Parents, Christening

Frequently Asked

How big is the carousel money box?

It stands 12.5cm tall and measures 9cm wide and 9cm deep, small enough for a nursery shelf, windowsill or chest of drawers.

What is the money box made of?

The money box is metal with a shiny silver plating, and its roof and bands are finished in soft pink and pale cream.

Where do the coins go in?

There is a coin slot set into the pink and cream roof, so coins can be dropped in from the top whenever someone wants to add to the savings.

Is it a good christening gift?

Yes, we think it makes a thoughtful christening gift.
