carousel-horse-resin-money-box-with-coin-slot-10-5cm-blue
Carousel Horse Resin Money Box with Coin Slot 10.5cm - Blue

Description

This carousel money box brings a little fairground charm to a nursery shelf, with white horses prancing round a pale blue drum beneath a striped canopy roof. It is made from resin and stands 10.5cm tall and 9.5cm across, a compact size that sits happily on a chest of drawers or a windowsill. The roof is painted in soft blue and white stripes and topped with a round cream knob, and a scalloped cream trim runs beneath its edge. Each horse is raised from the drum in relief, with a blue mane and tail, a blue saddle and gently closed eyes, and stands against a striped cream and white pole. Coins go in through a slot cut into the roof.

We think it suits a baby's or toddler's room best, for little ones up to three years old, where the pale blue palette sits comfortably alongside soft whites, greys and creams. It makes a thoughtful gift for a baby or toddler, and a sweet way to start a savings habit early, with coins from family and friends dropped in over the years ahead. Because it is a keepsake rather than a toy, it is happiest on a high shelf or a dresser, where it can be admired and topped up by the grown-ups.

The resin is moulded with fine detail, from the scalloped blue edge of the round base to the row of raised white dots around its rim, and painted in soft blue, white and cream. To keep it looking fresh, dust it with a soft dry cloth, or wipe it gently with a slightly damp cloth and dry it straight away; never soak it or use harsh cleaners. For a gift, we like it wrapped with a soft blanket or a first storybook, and on the shelf it looks lovely beside other pale blue nursery pieces.

Specification

Material

Polyresin

Colour

Blue

Height

10.5cm

Width

9.5cm

Depth

9.5cm

Weight

0.189kg

Frequently Asked

How big is the carousel money box?

It stands 10.5cm tall and measures 9.5cm across, a compact size for a nursery shelf, a chest of drawers or a windowsill.

What is the money box made from?

It is made from resin, sometimes called polyresin.
