carousel-horse-musical-metal-trinket-box-white-and-blue
Carousel Horse Musical Metal Trinket Box - White & Blue

Description

This musical trinket box takes the shape of a carousel horse prancing on a twisted gold-coloured pole above a small round drum. The horse is white, with a dark brown mane and tail, a pale blue saddle and a gold-coloured harness and bridle, and each hoof is picked out in gold. The drum it stands on is the box itself, decorated in cream and pale blue triangles divided by fine gold lines. Small clear stones are set along the bands and in a ring around the foot of the pole. It is made of metal with a glazed finish and stands 9.7cm tall, 5cm wide and 5.1cm deep.

Because it is a musical box and a trinket box in one, it is at home on a dressing table, a bedside table or a bedroom shelf. There the carousel horse can be admired, and the drum beneath can keep a ring or a few small treasures together. The white and pale blue colouring is soft and gentle, so it sits happily in a pastel bedroom as well as in a more traditional room with brass or gold accents. We think it makes a pretty gift that is likely to stay on display for years.

The metal body carries a smooth glazed finish. Gold-coloured trim outlines the saddle, the harness, the pole and the rim of the drum, and the small clear stones add a little sparkle as the light catches them. To keep it looking its best, dust it gently with a soft dry cloth and keep it away from water and household cleaners, which can dull a glazed surface. Stand it on a flat, steady surface away from the edge of a shelf, because the horse on its slender pole is delicate. As a gift, it needs little more than tissue paper, and once it is unwrapped it is ready to take its place on a dressing table.

Specification

Material

Metal

Colour

White & Blue

Finish

Glazed

Height

9.7cm

Width

5cm

Depth

5.1cm

Weight

0.21kg

Frequently Asked

How big is the carousel horse trinket box?

It stands 9.7cm tall, 5cm wide and 5.1cm deep.
