bubbi-striped-wall-shelf-multi
Bubbi Striped Wall Shelf - Multi

Description

Our Bubbi shelf is a wall shelf with a wave running along both its top and bottom edges, so the outline reads like a row of soft scallops rather than a straight plank. Broad vertical stripes run the full height of the backboard and carry straight across the ledge, giving a multicoloured, deckchair look. It is made from MDF with a lacquered finish and measures 80cm long, 17cm wide and 22.5cm tall, at a weight of 3.65KG. That long, low shape makes it a display shelf for the small things you want to see every day.

At 80cm long it is a generous length for a single shelf, enough to line up a row of small vases, a few framed postcards or a stack of paperbacks laid flat above a desk, a chest of drawers or a bed. Because it hangs on the wall, it takes no floor space at all, which makes it useful in a hallway or on a landing where a bookcase would be in the way. The stripes and wavy edges give a plain wall in a living room, bedroom or study something cheerful to look at, and the multicoloured pattern is bold enough to carry the wall on its own or to sit beside framed prints.

The shelf is made from 100% MDF, and MDF is a dense, smooth board that takes paint and lacquer evenly; here the stripes have clean, crisp edges where one meets the next. The lacquered finish seals the surface in a smooth coat. We like it hung at eye level with a few small pieces of different heights, spaced out so the stripes and the wave of the backboard still show between them; the styling props shown are not included.

Specification

Width

80cm

Depth

17cm

Height

22.5cm

Material

100% MDF

Colour

Multi

Finish

Lacquered

Weight

3.65KG

Frequently Asked

What is the Bubbi wall shelf made of?

It is made from 100% MDF with a lacquered finish, and broad vertical stripes run across both the backboard and the ledge.

How big is the shelf?

It is 80cm long, 17cm wide and 22.5cm tall, so it suits a stretch of wall above a desk, a chest of drawers or a bed.

How heavy is it?

It weighs 3.65KG, which is worth knowing when you choose the wall and the fixings you hang it with.

Are the edges of the shelf straight?

No. Both the top and bottom edges of the backboard follow a soft wave, so the shelf reads as a row of scallops along the wall.

Which rooms does it suit?

Its long, low shape suits a hallway, a landing, a study, a living room or a bedroom, anywhere you want a cheerful display shelf for small pieces.

What is included?

You receive one striped wall shelf in its multicoloured lacquered finish.
