brera-linea-glass-wall-light-brushed-warm-steel
Brera Linea Glass Wall Light - Brushed Warm Steel

Description

This glass wall light from our Brera range is built from iron and blown glass in a brushed warm steel finish. A tall back plate with a rounded top sits against the wall, a curved arc of brushed metal overlaps it, and a round blown-glass diffuser is set into the design, holding the light. It is a single-light fitting that takes one GX53 lamp, and it comes in three sizes: Mezzo, Quarto and Trequarti. The brushed finish gives the metal a fine grain and a soft sheen, so the shapes read clearly on the wall whether the light is on or off.

We would put it where a wall wants both light and a little shape: either side of a bed, along a hallway or landing, beside a dining room sideboard, or flanking a mirror in a living room. Its rating is IP20, which means it belongs in dry rooms only, and it is made for indoor use. The rounded plate and curved arc nod to art deco, while the clean, flat planes keep it firmly modern, so it sits as comfortably in a period house as in a new build. One fitting suits a short stretch of wall; two or three in a row bring rhythm to a longer corridor.

The frame is iron and the diffuser is blown glass, with the metal given its brushed warm steel finish. It is an on-off fitting worked from a switch rather than a dimmer, and it runs on 220-240V mains power, so it is for a qualified electrician to install. It carries a 3 year guarantee. For styling, the warm tone of the steel sits well against plaster, stone and soft white walls, and it pairs nicely with brushed or antique brass hardware nearby, so the light looks chosen with the room rather than added to it.

Specification

Finish

Brushed Warm Steel

Materials

Iron and blown-glass

Height

41cm (Quarto), 41cm (Mezzo), 41cm (Trequarti)

Shade Diameter

10cm (Quarto), 10cm (Mezzo), 10cm (Trequarti)

Lamp Cap

GX53

Number of Lamps

1

Lamps Included

No

IP Rating

IP20

Control

On-off (switched)

Voltage

220-240V

Guarantee

3 years

Product Codes

11635, 11642, 11659

Frequently Asked

What lamp does this wall light take?

It is a single-light fitting with one GX53 lamp holder, and the light comes through its round blown-glass diffuser.

Can I dim it?

No. It is an on-off fitting worked from a switch, so it is not made to be dimmed; it suits rooms where simple switched light is all you need.

What is it made of?

It is made from iron and blown glass, with the metal in a brushed warm steel finish that has a fine, soft grain.

What sizes does it come in?

It comes in three sizes, named Mezzo, Quarto and Trequarti, so you can choose the one that best suits your wall.

Is it suitable for damp rooms?

No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, such as hallways, landings, bedrooms and living rooms.

Who should install it?

It is a mains fitting running at 220-240V, so it is for a qualified electrician to install.
