boucle-penguin-animal-velvet-door-stop-warm-grey
Boucle Penguin Animal Velvet Door Stop - Warm Grey

Description

This is a penguin-shaped door stop made from soft boucle fabric, standing upright with flippers out to the sides and a little tartan scarf tied at the neck. The body is warm grey boucle with a cream front and face, a brown cap over the head, and velvet used for the feet and the beak. It comes in one size and is filled with sand and polyester, which is what gives a decorative piece like this the weight it needs to hold a door.

A door stop like this earns its place in a hallway, a living room or a nursery, anywhere a door swings shut on a draught or a breeze and you would rather it stayed open. It sits on the floor as a weighted figure rather than a wedge, so it holds an internal door in place while still being easy to pick up and move. The scarf and the friendly face make it as much a seasonal ornament as a practical object, and it works as a gift for that reason.

The outer is 100% polyester in a boucle finish, the looped, textured pile you can see across the body and face. Polyester holds its shape and stands up to everyday knocks and handling, which matters on something that gets nudged with a foot. The velvet beak and feet are a smooth contrast to the boucle. The sand and polyester filling sits inside a self-contained body with no cover to remove. Stand it against the doors you want propped and it does the job while looking the part.

Specification

Material

100% Polyester

Design

Penguin figure with tartan scarf

Construction

Boucle outer with velvet beak and feet, sand and polyester filled

Size

One size

Sold as

Single door stop

Frequently Asked

What is this door stop made from?

The outer is 100% polyester in a boucle finish, with a smooth velvet beak and velvet feet for contrast.
