blur-ribbed-glass-wall-light-matt-black
Blur Ribbed Glass Wall Light - Matt Black

Description

The Blur is a modern ribbed glass wall light: a clear glass shade with fine vertical ribs, wrapped around a single G9 lamp holder and set on a round backplate in matt black. The ribs catch the light along their length, while the black backplate gives the fitting a crisp, graphic edge against a pale wall. It is made from iron and glass, and it is a compact piece: 10cm tall and projecting 11.5cm from the wall, with a cylindrical shade 10cm across. That shallow projection means it sits close to the wall, so it works where a deeper fitting would get in the way.

We like it in bedrooms, either side of the bed in place of bedside lamps, where it frees up the bedside table and gives a light to read by. It suits hallways and landings too, where its shallow projection keeps it clear of shoulders in a narrow space, and living rooms, where a pair either side of a fireplace, a sofa or a favourite painting adds a warm layer of light below the ceiling. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It takes one G9 lamp, and a G9 LED is the recommended lamp.

It is built from iron and glass: the iron in a matt black finish, the glass clear and ribbed from top to bottom. It runs on 220-240V mains, so it is for a qualified electrician to install, and it carries a 3 year guarantee. Matt black suits a modern room and gives a clean outline against white or soft plaster tones, and the clear glass keeps the fitting light to the eye. For a balanced look, set a pair at the same height either side of a bed or a console table, and choose a warm white G9 LED to keep the glow soft through the ribbed glass.

Specification

Finish

Matt Black

Materials

Iron and glass

Height

10cm

Projection

11.5cm

Shade Diameter

10cm

Lamp Cap

G9

Number of Lamps

1

Recommended Lamp

G9 LED

Lamps Included

No

Maximum Wattage

10W per lamp

IP Rating

IP20

Voltage

220-240V

Guarantee

3 years

Product Code

11505

Downloads

Assembly Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

What lamp does the Blur wall light take?

It has one G9 lamp holder, and a G9 LED is the recommended lamp for this fitting and its glass shade.

How big is the Blur wall light?

It is 10cm tall and projects 11.5cm from the wall, and its cylindrical ribbed glass shade is 10cm across.

Which rooms can I use it in?

It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, such as bedrooms, hallways, landings and living rooms.

What is the wall light made from?

It is made from iron and glass, with the iron in a matt black finish and a clear ribbed glass shade.

Is there a guarantee, and who should fit it?

It carries a 3 year guarantee, and as a 220-240V mains fitting it is for a qualified electrician to install.
