bloomie-floral-stoneware-bowls-12cm-set-of-4-cream
Bloomie Floral Stoneware Bowls 12cm Set of 4 - Cream

Description

This is a set of four cream stoneware bowls, each 12cm across and 4.5cm tall and holding 250ml. Inside, a decal pattern of trailing floral branches runs from the rim right down to the base, with a small bird perched among the leaves, while the outside stays plain cream, so the pattern appears as each bowl is emptied. A fine contrasting line finishes each rim. At this size and depth they are small bowls rather than cereal or soup bowls, so we think of them as dessert, side dish and nibbles bowls.

Set them out with olives, nuts or crisps when friends visit, fill them with berries and yoghurt at breakfast, or use them for a scoop of ice cream, a portion of crumble or a side of salad at supper. With four in the set, there is one for each place at a small table, or enough to hold dips and toppings across a relaxed weekend spread. The floral pattern suits a country kitchen or a cottage-style dining room, and it sits happily beside plain plates or simple wooden boards. They also make a thoughtful gift for someone setting up a first home, or for anyone who loves flowers on the table.

The bowls are 100% stoneware, a dense, sturdy ceramic that holds heat well, and the pattern is applied as a decal. The maker states that they go in the dishwasher, the microwave and the oven, so you can warm a portion of crumble, carry it straight to the table and then load the bowl into the dishwasher afterwards. For an easy styling note, lay them on a linen cloth beside plain cream plates so the inner pattern gives the table its colour, or line all four along the centre of the table with a different nibble in each.

Specification

Height

4.5cm

Diameter

12cm

Sold as

Set of 4

Material

100% Stoneware

Colour

Cream

Finish

Decal

Capacity

250ml

Dishwasher safe

Yes

Microwave safe

Yes

Oven safe

Yes

Food safe

Yes

Weight

0.76KG

Frequently Asked

What size are these bowls?

Each bowl is 12cm across and 4.5cm tall and holds 250ml, a good size for desserts, side dishes, dips and nibbles rather than a full bowl of soup.

Can the bowls go in the dishwasher and the microwave?

Yes.
