birnane-led-outdoor-wall-light-white-anthracite
Birnane LED Outdoor Wall Light - White & Anthracite

Description

The Birnane is an LED outdoor wall light with a crisp, rectangular form: an anthracite box with a slot cut across its middle, mounted on a taller white backplate. The body is zinc-plated steel, and the pairing of white and anthracite gives a clean, graphic look on a pale or dark wall alike. It is 15cm wide and 26cm high, and stands 7.5cm out from the wall. The LEDs are integrated, and the light is rated IP54, which means it is protected against dust and splashing water, so it lives outdoors on a house wall.

Its natural home is beside a front door, along a porch, on a garden wall or next to a patio where you sit out on summer evenings. The slim depth keeps it close to the wall, which counts on a narrow side path or passage. Each of its two lights gives 230 lumens at 3000K, a warm white that feels welcoming at the door rather than harsh. It suits a modern house or a renovation that wants a tidy, architectural fitting, and a pair either side of a doorway looks deliberate and balanced.

Because the LEDs are part of the fitting, there is no bulb to buy or replace, and it is not dimmable. There is no switch on the light itself: it is turned on and off from a wall switch. As a hard-wired mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. Zinc plating helps steel resist corrosion, which is exactly what you want from a fitting that faces the weather. An occasional wipe with a soft, damp cloth keeps the white backplate looking crisp. The packed weight is 1.155KG, worth knowing when you plan the fixing.

Specification

Length

15cm

Height

26cm

Projection

7.5cm

Body Material

Zinc-plated steel

Body Colour

White, anthracite

Light Source

LED, integrated

Wattage

2 x 2.5W

Lumens

230lm per light (2 lights)

Colour Temperature

3000K

Dimmable

No

Switch

None (switched at the wall)

IP Rating

IP54

Protection Class

Class I

Voltage

220-230V, 50/60Hz

Energy Class

F

Weight (packed)

1.155KG

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

Can the Birnane go on an outside wall?

Yes.
