birdie-stripe-cotton-frill-trim-duvet-cover-set-butter-yellow
Birdie Stripe Cotton Frill Trim Duvet Cover Set - Butter Yellow

Description

The Birdie Stripe duvet cover set is built around a broad butter-yellow and white stripe, each band edged with a fine scalloped line, and framed all the way round with a soft ruffle trim. It is made from a cotton-rich blend of 60% cotton and 40% polyester, so you get the softness and breathability of cotton alongside the crease-resistance and hard-wearing nature of polyester. The stripe runs across both the duvet cover and the pillowcases, and the set is offered from single right up to emperor.

This is a set for a bedroom you want to feel relaxed and welcoming rather than formal. The warm yellow reads as gentle and sunny rather than bright, which makes it easy to sit alongside natural wood, soft pinks and the gingham and checks you can see styled with it here. The ruffle edge gives it a cottage feel that suits a country or relaxed room, and it works just as well layered with a plain cushion or two as it does left simple. Because the design is printed on both sides, the cover looks finished however it falls.

The duvet cover closes with a button fastening along the opening, which keeps the duvet in place and makes changing the bed straightforward. Being a cotton-rich blend, it launders easily and settles quickly after washing, so it is a practical everyday choice as well as a pretty one. Choose your size to match your duvet: the single set includes one pillowcase, while every larger size includes two. If you like the look, the wider Birdie Stripe range gives you scope to pull the theme through the rest of the room.

Specification

Material

60% cotton, 40% polyester

Design

Printed double-sided stripe, scalloped detail

Construction

Frill trim edge, button fastening opening

Size

Single to emperor

Included

Duvet cover with one pillowcase (single); two pillowcases (double and larger)

Frequently Asked

What is the duvet cover made from?

It is a cotton-rich blend of 60% cotton and 40% polyester, which gives you the softness of cotton with the easy-care, crease-resistant benefit of polyester.

How many pillowcases come with the set?

The single set includes one pillowcase, and the double, king, super king and emperor sizes each include two pillowcases.

Is the stripe printed on both sides of the cover?

Yes, the stripe design is double-sided, so the cover looks finished on both faces however it is arranged on the bed.

How does the duvet cover fasten?

The opening closes with a button fastening, which holds the duvet securely in place and makes putting the cover on and off straightforward.

What sizes are available?

The set is offered in single, double, king, super king and emperor, so you can match it to the duvet you already have.

Does the ruffle need special handling?

The frill trim runs around the edge of the cover and pillowcases; smoothing it out as you make the bed keeps the ruffle looking neat.
