bexter-vintage-brass-flush-ceiling-light
Bexter Vintage Brass Flush Ceiling Light

Description

The Bexter is a flush ceiling light pared right back: a round ceiling plate and a single brass lampholder with knurled rings, made to take one bare bulb close to the ceiling. It is made of brass and comes in seven finishes: Antique Silver, Antique Brass, Polished Brass, Polished Chrome, Polished Copper, Satin Brass and Satin Chrome. The antique finishes have an aged, vintage look, while the polished and satin finishes give a cleaner line. At 8.5cm tall and 10cm across, it is a compact fitting that keeps the whole light tight to the ceiling, with nothing hanging down.

We think it suits a hallway best, where a light that stays close to the ceiling is practical and the bare bulb gives a simple, honest glow as you come through the door. Bulbs are sold separately: it takes one E27 bulb, up to 60W per bulb. With the bulb on full view, the one you choose sets both the look and the light, so pick it with the finish in mind. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, and it is an indoor fitting.

Every Bexter is made to order for you in Ireland, in brass, in the finish you pick. The knurled rings on the lampholder and the small screws at the edge of the ceiling plate give it a plain, workmanlike character that suits its vintage feel. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase; bulbs are not covered. One practical note: it is a mains fitting, to be wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician, so plan for that when you choose where it goes. Our photographs show the Antique Silver, Antique Brass and Satin Brass finishes.

Specification

Finish

Antique Silver, Antique Brass, Polished Brass, Polished Chrome, Polished Copper, Satin Brass & Satin Chrome

Material

Brass

Height

8.5cm

Diameter

10cm

Light Source

1 x E27 (bulb not included)

Max Bulb Wattage

60W per bulb

IP Rating

IP20

Protection Class

Class I

Warranty

5 years (manufacturer)

Lead time

Made to order, usually delivered in 3 to 5 weeks

Frequently Asked

Does the Bexter flush ceiling light come with a bulb?

No. Bulbs are sold separately.
