bethany-stoneware-bowls-11-5cm-set-of-4-cream
Bethany Stoneware Bowls 11.5cm Set of 4 - Cream

Description

These are four handpainted stoneware bowls in cream, sold together as a set of four. Each one is 11.5cm across and 6.5cm tall and holds 325ml, which makes it a small bowl: the right size for a portion of berries, a scoop of sorbet, yoghurt with fruit or a side of rice, rather than a deep soup bowl. Around the outside runs a loose botanical motif of leafy swirls and a round seed head, while the inside is left plain under a smooth glaze and a fine line of glaze picks out the rim. Each bowl stands on a small foot that lifts it neatly from the table.

Because they are made for food and can go in the microwave, they suit everyday breakfasts and quick desserts as well as a laid table for guests. Set them out for a weekend brunch with fruit and granola, fill them with olives, nuts or dips when friends visit, or serve a pudding at the end of supper. The size also makes them handy while cooking, holding chopped herbs or a whisked egg within easy reach of the hob. A set of four covers a small household or a table for four, and they look just as much at home in a glass-fronted cabinet as on the breakfast table.

The bowls are 100% stoneware, a dense, hard-fired clay that stands up well to daily use. They go in the dishwasher, the microwave and the oven, so leftovers can be reheated in them and clearing up stays simple. The motif is painted by hand, so expect small differences in the brushwork from one bowl to the next; that is part of their charm. The styling props shown are not included. For a relaxed look, stack a few by the kettle for breakfast, or set the cream glaze against linen and pale wood for a warm, easy table.

Specification

Height

6.5cm

Diameter

11.5cm

Sold as

Set of 4

Material

100% Stoneware

Colour

Cream

Finish

Handpainted

Capacity

325ml

Dishwasher safe

Yes

Microwave safe

Yes

Oven safe

Yes

Food safe

Yes

Weight

0.8KG

Frequently Asked

How big are these bowls?

Each bowl is 11.5cm across and 6.5cm tall and holds 325ml, so it is a small bowl for fruit, desserts, dips and side dishes rather than a large soup bowl.

Can the bowls go in the dishwasher and the microwave?

Yes.
