bestie-dog-waffle-cotton-door-stop-natural
Bestie Dog Waffle Cotton Door Stop - Natural

Description

This is a dog-shaped door stop worked in a waffle-weave cotton, with a body in natural cream and a grey face, ears and back marking that read as the coat of a bulldog. A slim black collar sits at the neck, and stitched detailing gives it a sitting-up pose with a raised muzzle and dark rounded eyes. The outer is 100% cotton; inside, a polyester and sand filling gives it the weight to do its actual job, which is holding a door open rather than sitting on a shelf.

A door stop earns its place in a hallway, a living room, a nursery or any room where a door swings shut on a draught or a breeze. This one is built to be used on the floor, and the waffle cotton is soft enough that it will not scratch skirting boards, door edges or a wooden floor when it is nudged into place. The novelty dog shape suits a room that welcomes a bit of character rather than something plain and purely practical, and the natural and grey palette keeps it easy to place against most flooring and paintwork.

The waffle texture is the surface you can see across the body, a raised grid of small squares that gives cotton a bit of structure and grip. The sand and polyester filling is what supplies the heft, so it stays put once positioned and props the door reliably. It is a self-contained piece with no cover to remove. If you like a home with small pieces that have some personality to them, this sits happily alongside other novelty and figurine pieces without asking for much attention. It is the sort of thing that makes people smile on their way through the door.

Specification

Material

Outer: 100% cotton, Filling: 100% polyester & sand

Design

Novelty dog shape, natural body with grey markings and a black collar

Construction

Waffle-weave cotton outer, sand and polyester filled

Country of origin

Country

Frequently Asked

What is the door stop filled with?

The filling is a mix of polyester and sand.
