A black dome shade, narrow at the top and curving out to a wide open rim, entered by a polished chrome cone that flares down from the flex and disappears into the crown. The chrome is bright and mirror-finished and stands in hard contrast to the flat matt black around it. The inside of the dome is pale, so a thin bright line shows round the rim when the lamp is lit. A plain black flex runs up from the top of the chrome cone. The shade is a little deeper than it is wide and the rim is left open. It measures 14cm across.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA shade this small works better in a run of two or three over an island than alone in the middle of a ceiling, where it reads as an accent rather than the main light. Hang it so the bottom of the shade sits about 80cm above the surface, a little higher if people walk beneath it rather than sit under it.
