beira-w-glass-led-wall-light
Beira W Glass LED Wall Light

Description

The Beira W is a wall light with a simple, almost architectural outline: a slim rectangular wall plate, an arm that turns down, a flat round disc and, beneath it, a frosted diffuser tube that holds the light. The light source is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It draws 6.3W and gives 627lm at 2700K, a warm colour, with a CRI of 90, so skin tones, wood and fabrics look true. It is 27cm tall and stands 21.5cm out from the wall, and we offer it in Black, White or Brass.

Because it reaches only 21.5cm into the room, it sits comfortably where space is tight. In a bedroom, a pair either side of the bed gives each side its own reading light and keeps the bedside table clear. In a dining room, a row along one wall adds a warm, low glow around the table, and in a living room it works beside a sofa or armchair, or either side of a fireplace or mirror. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It dims on a compatible phase cut dimmer, so you can bring it down for a quieter evening.

The design is by Josep Lluís Xuclà, and it is built from a few clean parts. The wall plate is 12cm tall, 5cm wide and 2.5cm deep, the disc is 16cm across and the diffuser tube is 5cm across, so the fitting stays neat on the wall whether it is lit or off. It runs on 230V mains and is wired in by an electrician, so plan for a qualified electrician to install it. Pick the finish to suit your walls: Black looks crisp against pale paint, White blends quietly into a light wall, and Brass adds a warm note. Our photographs show the brass version.

Specification

Finish

Black, White & Brass

Projection

21.5cm

Wall Plate Depth

2.5cm

Wall Plate Width

5cm

Wall Plate Height

12cm

Height

27cm

Diffuser Tube Diameter

5cm

Disc Diameter

16cm

Light Source

Integrated LED

LED Power

6.3W

Luminous Flux

627lm

Colour Temperature

2700K

CRI

90

Dimmable

Yes (phase cut)

Power

Mains, wired in by an electrician

Voltage

230V

IP Rating

IP20

Protection Class

Class I

Lead time

Made to order, usually delivered in 4 to 8 weeks

Frequently Asked

Does the Beira W wall light need a bulb?

No. It has an integrated LED of 6.3W giving 627lm at 2700K with a CRI of 90, so there is no bulb to buy or replace.

Can I dim the Beira W?

Yes.
