A wide, very shallow cream dish that flares out almost flat, with a second smaller bowl of opal glass sitting beneath it and glowing warm. The upper dish is metal and shields the lamp from above, while the glass bowl underneath is what you see lit from the room. A small brushed steel finial finishes the centre of the bowl on its underside. It hangs from a slim brushed steel cone and a straight steel rod. The proportions are wide and low, so it reads as a floating plate rather than a shade.
