banyan-e14-wall-light-35-5cm-high-taupe-champagne-gold
Banyan E14 Wall Light 35.5cm High Taupe - Champagne Gold

Description

Small, quietly done and easy to place, this is a wall light with a soft fabric shade in faux silk. The shade is taupe with a gold-toned lining, so the light picks up a little warmth on its way out, and the fitting behind it wears a champagne gold finish. A rocker switch sits on the fitting itself, which means it can be worked by hand where there is no switch nearby. It takes one E14 candle lamp of up to 20W, and we would choose an LED candle for it.

The proportions suit tight spots: a narrow hallway, either side of a bed where there is no room for a table lamp, or beside a reading chair. The shade measures 12cm across, so it reads as a modest light rather than something that takes over a wall. Because the switch is built in, it earns its place in a guest room or on a landing, where hunting for a wall plate in the dark is a nuisance. Keep it to indoor rooms, well away from bathrooms and anywhere steamy.

The shade is faux silk, and the pale gold finish carries across the metal parts through to the switch itself. For dusting, a soft brush or the upholstery tool on a vacuum does the job, working lightly across the fabric; save any damp cloth for the metal, and only once the lamp has gone cold. The fitting is earthed, and dimming is possible provided the lamp you fit is a dimmable one. It carries a one year warranty. We like it in a room where fabric already features, picking up on curtains, a headboard or a shaded table lamp, and it is one we reach for when a shelf or bedside table has run out of space. Lamps are not included.

Specification

Colour

Champagne Gold

Second Colour

Taupe

Weight

0.46KG

Width

120mm

Height

355mm

Projection

180mm

Materials Used

Terylene with Cotton Fabric, PVC Lining, Iron

Energy Class

A++ to D

Max Energy Class

A++

Min Energy Class

D

Lamp

1 x E14 20W max (lamps not included)

Lamp Cap

E14

Recommended Lamp

LED (Candle C35)

Light Distribution

Ambient

Protection Class

Class 1 - Earth Connection Required

Total Power Consumption

Dependent On Lamps Used (±5%)

Input Voltage

220-240V~50/60Hz

Switch

Yes - Rocker Switch

Dimmable

Yes - Dimmable Lamps Required

Dimmer Included

No

IP Rating

IP20

Warranty

1yr

UKCA/CE

Yes

Shade Colour

Taupe/Halo Gold

Base Dimensions

D:90mm, H:25mm

Bracket Dimensions

L:75mm, W:20mm, T:1.5mm

Shade Material

Terylene with Cotton, PVC, Metal Frame

Shade Shape

Cylinder

Shade Included

Yes

Number of Shades

1

Base Material

Iron

Pieces Included

1

Unassembled

Yes-Shade To Be Attached

Installation

Requires Installation By Qualified Electrician

Product Care

(1) Wipe clean with a dry cloth, do not use any cleaning detergents, do not use rough or coarse material to clean.
