banyan-5-light-pendant-light-taupe-champagne-gold-raw-cocoa
Banyan 5 Light E14 Pendant Light 60cm Raw Cocoa - Champagne Gold

Description

Five arms curve out from a central stem, each carrying a candle lamp, and the whole arrangement sits beneath a broad fabric drum. The shade measures 60cm across, which spreads light wide and soft rather than sending it down in a tight column. Its faux silk is raw cocoa on the outer face, with champagne gold warming the light that passes through. Lampholders are E14 for candle lamps of up to 20W apiece, and the hanging height can be set high or low depending on the room it goes into.

It is a light for rooms with space to spare: above a long dining table, in a wide hallway, or centred in a sitting room where a smaller shade would look lost. The lamps together give an even, companionable glow across a good stretch of floor, and the level can be taken down for the evening with dimmable lamps on a compatible dimmer. We reach for a multi arm pendant of this sort when a lone shade leaves the corners of a room dim. It belongs in dry, heated rooms indoors, well away from bathrooms and porches.

The metal is finished in champagne gold, so the fitting reads as fabric first, with the arms catching the light at the edges of the shade. For care, dust the silk with a soft brush or a vacuum on its lowest setting, and give the metalwork a dry cloth once the lamps have gone cold; keep damp cloths and sprays off the fabric altogether. It carries a one year warranty. Lamps are not included, and we would choose warm white LED candles here, since they sit comfortably with the gold and keep the shade cooler over a long evening.

Specification

Colour

Champagne Gold

Second Colour

Raw Cocoa

Weight

3.00KG

Diameter

600mm

Minimum Drop

340mm

Maximum Drop

1800mm

Body Height

220mm

Materials Used

Terylene with Cotton Fabric, PVC Lining, Iron

Adjustable Height

Yes

Hanging Method

Chain

Energy Class

A++ to D

Max Energy Class

A++

Min Energy Class

D

Lamp

5 x E14 20W max (lamps not included)

Lamp Cap

E14

Recommended Lamp

LED (Candle C35)

Light Distribution

Ambient

Protection Class

Class 1 -
