baliguian-reindeer-ornament-black
Baliguian Reindeer Ornament - Black

Description

The Baliguian reindeer ornament is a black tealight holder for the Christmas table, shaped as a little winter scene. Two reindeer and two fir trees, cut as flat silhouettes in black aluminium, stand along a natural mango wood base, and each figure has a round black cup at its foot that takes a tealight. It measures 38cm long, 7.5cm wide and 20cm high, so it sits comfortably along a mantelpiece or down the middle of a dining table without crowding the plates. At 0.65KG it is light enough to carry from room to room, and as a decorative piece it belongs indoors.

We think it looks its best against a plain wall or a window, because the cut-out shapes read clearly in silhouette. A mantelpiece, a deep windowsill, a sideboard in the hall or the centre of a dining table all suit it well. The black and natural pairing sits happily in simple, calm interiors, cottage kitchens and pared-back modern rooms alike, bringing a quiet Christmas note without bright reds and greens. With four tealights lit, the dark figures stand out against the warm flicker of the flames, a good choice for anyone who prefers candlelight to fairy lights through December. It also makes a thoughtful gift for a host or a friend who decorates simply.

The figures are black aluminium with a softly textured surface that gives the trees and reindeer a slightly rustic look. Aluminium is light and does not rust, which suits a piece that comes out every December. The base is a block of mango wood with its grain on show. Mango wood has a naturally varied grain, so no two bases look quite alike. Dust it with a soft, dry cloth and keep it in a dry room so the wood stays at its best. After Christmas, its slim 7.5cm width makes it easy to store until next year.

Specification

Colour

Black & Natural

Material

Aluminium, Mango wood

Length

38cm

Width

7.5cm

Height

20cm

Weight

0.65KG

Frequently Asked

How many tealights does the reindeer ornament hold?

It holds four tealights, one in each round black cup at the foot of the two reindeer and the two fir trees.

What materials does the Baliguian use?

The reindeer and fir tree figures are black aluminium, and they stand on a natural mango wood base with a visible grain.

How big is the reindeer ornament?

It is 38cm long, 7.5cm wide and 20cm high, a slim shape that fits neatly along a mantelpiece, a windowsill or a table centre.

Can the ornament go outdoors?

We recommend keeping it indoors in a dry room, as it is a decorative piece and the mango wood base is happiest away from rain and damp.

Where does the ornament look best?

We like it on a mantelpiece, a deep windowsill, a sideboard or down the middle of a dining table, where the black silhouettes read clearly.

How heavy is the ornament?

It weighs 0.65KG, so it is easy to lift onto a shelf or carry from the dining table to the mantelpiece.
