balbarne-3-light-ceiling-light-light-grey-brown
Balbarne 3 Light Ceiling Light - Light Grey & Brown

Description

The Balbarne is a 3 light ceiling light in light grey and brown, made from steel and wood. Three light grey drum shades hang from a long brown wooden bar, which sits beneath a slim light grey ceiling canopy. It measures 91cm long, 19cm wide and 25.5cm high, so it covers a good stretch of ceiling without hanging low into the room. Each shade takes an E27 bulb of up to 40W. The bulbs are not included, so you choose the colour and warmth of light yourself. It is rated IP20, which means it is made for indoor rooms that stay dry.

With three shades in a line, it suits a long space: a hallway or landing, a dining table, or a kitchen island where you want light spread evenly along its length. We like the light grey and brown pairing because it is gentle and neutral, sitting comfortably with pale walls, white woodwork and oak or pine furniture. The warm wood bar softens the cool grey and gives the fitting a relaxed, natural feel that works in modern and cottage homes alike. The shades are open at the base, so each one casts a pool of light downwards rather than glare at eye level.

There is no switch on the fitting itself. It is switched at the wall, so it works from the light switch you already have. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz household mains and is installed by a qualified electrician. The installation instructions come as a download, and the canopy fixes to the ceiling on a slim mounting bracket. Packed, it weighs 5.137KG. Before you order, we suggest measuring your table or hallway, since at 91cm long this light is happiest where it has room along its full length.

Specification

Length

91cm

Width

19cm

Height

25.5cm

Body Material

Steel, wood

Body Colour

Light grey, brown

Light Source

E27 (bulb not included)

Wattage

Max 3 x 40W

Switch

None (switched at the wall)

IP Rating

IP20

Protection Class

Class I

Voltage

220-240V, 50/60Hz

Weight (packed)

5.137KG

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

Can this ceiling light go in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, so it belongs indoors in dry rooms such as hallways, landings, living rooms and dining rooms.

Which bulbs does it take?

Each of the three shades takes an E27 bulb of up to 40W.
