The glass is a deep olive green, strongest through the body where there is most of it to look through, and the hammered surface catches light along every dent. A chrome collar caps the neck and carries a black lampholder with a shade ring, and the brown flex runs up inside the glass in full view.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThis is a base only: no shade and no bulb. At 50cm it is the tallest base in the range, so it is the one for a sideboard, a console or a hall table where the lamp is seen across a room rather than read by. Lit, the green warms through to an olive gold and the whole body of the glass carries it. It takes an E27 bulb, the cord runs 2.5m, the plug is UK and EU, and it is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe glass is recycled, blown by hand into a mould and then hammered while still molten, so the dents and the depth of the green differ from one base to the next.
