baal-rattan-lounge-chair-brown
Baal Rattan Lounge Chair - Brown

Description

This lounge chair is made entirely of rattan, with an arched back of upright canes, open curved arms and legs that sweep round into looped runners at the floor. Every joint is bound with wrapped rattan strips, which gives the brown frame its neat, banded detail. It is 77cm wide, 61cm from front to back and 75cm tall. The seat sits low at 34cm, with 50cm of depth to lean back into, and the arms rest at 54cm, so this is a chair for lounging rather than sitting upright at a table.

Put it where you want to slow down: beside a window with a book, in the corner of a living room next to a small side table, or in a bedroom as a place to sit while you get ready. It is rated for a maximum load of 110KG, and at 6.5KG it is light enough to lift and carry from one room to another when the furniture needs a shuffle or guests need an extra seat. The open, airy frame lets light pass through, so it keeps a smaller room feeling uncluttered, and the warm brown of the rattan sits easily with pale walls, wooden floors and patterned textiles.

The frame and legs are 100% rattan, finished with lacquer. Rattan is a light, strong and flexible cane. Care is simple: wipe it clean with a moist cloth, and there is no fabric to remove or wash. The maker's assembly instructions come as a PDF download. For styling, lay a seat pad or a folded throw across the open seat and prop a cushion against the arched back for longer spells of reading; the styling props shown are not included.

Specification

Width

77cm

Depth

61cm

Height

75cm

Material

100% Rattan

Colour

Brown

Finish

Lacquer

Seat height

34cm

Seat depth

50cm

Arm height

54cm

Maximum load

110KG

Legs

Natural Rattan

Care

Wipe clean with a moist cloth

Weight

6.5KG

Downloads

Assembly instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

What is the chair made of?

The whole frame, legs included, is 100% rattan with a lacquer finish, and each joint is bound with wrapped rattan strips.

How big is the rattan lounge chair?

It is 77cm wide, 61cm from front to back and 75cm tall, with a 34cm seat height, 50cm seat depth and arms at 54cm.

How much weight can it hold?

The maker gives a maximum load of 110KG.
