ankarefo-vase-57-5cm-brass
Ankarefo Vase 57.5cm - Brass

Description

The Ankarefo Vase is an open ring of aluminium with a brass colour, rising to a narrow, flared neck at the top. The centre is cut away entirely, so the wall behind shows through and the piece reads as much as a sculpture as a vase. It stands 57.5cm tall and 43cm across, yet is only 6cm deep. The surface has a softly textured, slightly mottled look that catches the light unevenly, which keeps the brass from looking flat.

That slim depth is the useful number. The vase sits comfortably on a mantelpiece, a narrow shelf or a hallway console where a rounder vase would crowd the space. At this height it holds its own on a sideboard or a low cabinet in a living room or dining room, and the open centre stops it feeling heavy even at full size. The narrow neck suits a single dried stem, a few dried grasses or a spray of artificial blooms, so it works for anyone who wants a finished arrangement that lasts without fuss. It is a piece for indoors.

Each Ankarefo Vase is handmade, so every piece is unique. Expect small differences in the texture and tone of the brass colour from one vase to the next, which is part of the appeal. It is made for artificial and dried flowers only, so keep water out and save fresh-cut stems for another vessel. At 3.25KG it has a reassuring weight and stands steadily on its flat base, so a firm, level surface is all it needs.

Specification

Colour

Brass

Material

Aluminium

Details

Handmade: every piece is unique

Length

43cm

Width

6cm

Height

57.5cm

Weight

3.25KG

Use

For artificial and dried flowers only

Frequently Asked

Can I put fresh flowers and water in the Ankarefo Vase?

No. It is made for artificial and dried flowers only, so keep water out and choose dried stems, grasses or artificial blooms instead.

How big is the vase?

It stands 57.5cm tall and 43cm across, and it is only 6cm deep, so it fits a narrow shelf or a mantelpiece comfortably.

What material is the vase?

The body is aluminium with a brass colour and a softly textured, slightly mottled surface that catches the light unevenly.

How heavy is it?

It weighs 3.25KG, which gives it a reassuring weight and helps it stand steadily on its flat base on a level surface.

Does every vase look identical?

Not quite.
