andai-egg-easter-decoration-antique-teal-set-of-4
Andai Egg Easter Decoration - Antique Teal - Set of 4

Description

A set of four hanging egg decorations in recycled glass, each 6cm tall and 4cm across. The glass is blown and then given a mercury finish, so the surface is a mottled, crackled silver shot through with teal and darker flecks and it holds the light in patches rather than evenly. Each egg is capped with a fluted crown in a darkened metal and carries a wide ring above it.

At 6cm these are small decorations. Four of them go on the branches of a spring display, along a wreath or over a door handle, and the ring is wide enough to drop straight over a twig without a hook. The mottled surface picks up whatever light is in the room, so an egg hung at the front of an arrangement and one hung inside it read quite differently.

The eggs are recycled glass and the caps are iron. The waste glass is collected and washed to remove impurities, then crushed and melted down before it is blown. The mercury finish settles unevenly, so no two eggs in a set carry the same pattern.

Specification

Height

6cm

Diameter

4cm

Material

Recycled Glass & Iron

Colour

Antique Teal

Wall Hung

Yes

Weight

0.05kg

Frequently Asked

How many decorations come in the set?

Four.

How big is each one?

6cm tall and 4cm across.

What is the mottled surface?

A mercury finish on the glass.
