The lining inside is left plain and brushed. The marble ring is cut from stone veined in red brown and cream, and the veining runs differently on every one.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eA wine bottle drops in and stands with its neck and shoulder clear of the rim, so the label shows and the bottle lifts out one handed. The stone is sourced in Rajasthan and shaped and polished by hand to a smooth, glossy finish; the metal is etched by hand afterwards, which is what gives the aged antique surface its patchy depth.
