The arm leaves a round wall plate horizontally, turns through a right angle and lifts the cylinder above and forward of the fixing, so the glass sits proud of the wall on two sides. The cylinder is capped in brass at the top and seated in a brass cup at the bottom, and the ribs run its full height. It stands 29cm tall and projects 20.5cm.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe glass is clear, so the lamp inside is part of what is seen, and the light leaves upward and downward from the ends of the tube as well as through its ribbed sides. That suits a position beside a mirror, where a pair either side puts light on both sides of a face instead of casting it from above. It takes one E14 bulb up to 25W and it is dimmable. It is rated IP44, so splashing from any direction is covered. The cord runs 50cm.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe cylinder is glass and the arm, plate and caps are iron finished in brass, with the fixing screw left visible on the plate rather than hidden behind a cover. The glass is moulded, so the ribbing and the small bubbles in it vary between fittings.
