Each cylinder is closed at its outer end with a solid brass cap and held at its inner end in a brass collar, and the ribbing runs the full length of the glass so the tube reads as a row of fine vertical lines. The glass is clear and the brass is a warm aged tone rather than a bright one. It measures 47cm across, stands 12cm tall and projects 17cm from the wall.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eClear glass hides nothing, so the lit bulbs sit in view inside the cylinders and the light leaves along the wall in both directions. The proportions are the placement: 47cm wide and 12cm tall is a band rather than a shape, which fits the strip of wall above a mirror or a framed picture, and the 17cm projection holds the glass clear of the wall face. It takes two E14 bulbs up to 25W each and it is dimmable. The rating is IP44, which covers splashing from any direction and allows it in a bathroom.
