agnes-stoneware-cup-230ml-cream
Agnes Stoneware Cup 230ml - Cream

Description

Our Agnes cup is a small stoneware cup in a soft cream, decorated on one side with a painted citrus fruit hanging from its leafy stem. Look inside and there is a little surprise: a round, dotted fruit motif painted on the base, which appears as the last of the drink goes. The cup holds 230ml and measures 7cm across and 6cm tall, with a round loop handle and gently uneven walls that give it a relaxed, unfussy character. At 0.15KG it is light in the hand.

We would call 230ml a generous drink for a child: milk or juice at breakfast, water with lunch, or something warm at bedtime. Grown-ups take to it too, as a small tea or coffee cup that feels less bulky than a mug. It sits naturally at a child's place at the kitchen table, and the painted fruit brings a cheerful note to a birthday tea, an after-school snack or a slow weekend breakfast with the family. It also makes a thoughtful small gift for a family who enjoy pretty things at the table.

The cup is made of 100% stoneware. Stoneware is a dense, hard-wearing ceramic that holds heat well. The maker declares it fit for food and advises washing it before first use. After that it is an easy everyday piece: it goes in the dishwasher, in the microwave for warming milk, and in the oven. The finish has a soft sheen that catches the light on the gentle ripples in the walls. For a pretty breakfast tray, set it on a small plate with a biscuit beside it, or line a few along an open kitchen shelf so the fruit faces out between uses.

Specification

Height

6cm

Diameter

7cm

Material

100% Stoneware

Colour

Cream

Capacity

230ml

Dishwasher safe

Yes

Microwave safe

Yes

Oven safe

Yes

Food safe

Yes

Weight

0.15KG

Safety

Wash before use!
