adult-and-cub-wolves-bust-wood-effect-resin-figurine-brown
Adult and Cub Wolves Bust Wood Effect Resin Figurine - Brown

Description

This wood effect resin figurine is a bust of two wolves, an adult and a cub, with the cub tucked against the adult's chest and reaching up towards its muzzle. The resin is finished to look like pale honey-brown wood, with a fine grain running through the fur, ears and faces, and the small details are picked out by hand: amber eyes, black noses and deeper brown shading through the ruff. The pair rise from a square, dark brown base that sits the piece neatly on a shelf. It stands 15cm tall, 9.5cm wide and 8cm deep, small enough for a narrow ledge yet detailed enough to reward a closer look.

Because it is freestanding, it needs no wall and no fixings: set it on a bookshelf, a mantelpiece, a desk or a bedside table and it is ready. The warm brown tones sit comfortably beside oak and pine furniture and country or rustic interiors, and they show up well against a pale painted wall, where the grain detail stands out. At 15cm tall it holds its own in a small space, or it can join books, plants and other ornaments on a wider shelf. The tender pose, with the cub nestled close to the adult, gives the piece a gentle feel rather than a fierce one, which makes it an easy fit for a living room, a study, a bedroom or a hallway table.

Each figurine is cast in resin and painted by hand, so small variations in the shading are part of its character. To keep it looking its best, dust it with a soft dry cloth, or wipe it gently with a lightly damp cloth and dry it straight away, avoiding harsh cleaners that could dull the paintwork. It makes a thoughtful gift, and on a shelf of your own it brings a touch of the woodland indoors all year round.

Specification

Material

Resin

Colour

Brown

Finish

Handpainted

Height

15cm

Width

9.5cm

Depth

8cm

Weight

0.25kg

Frequently Asked

How big is the wolves figurine?

It stands 15cm tall, 9.5cm wide and 8cm deep, so it fits easily on a bookshelf, a mantelpiece, a windowsill or a desk.

What is the figurine made from?

It is cast in resin and hand-painted with a wood effect finish, giving it the warm look of grained wood with fine detail in the fur and faces.

Does it need to be fixed to a wall?

No, it is freestanding.
